Praised for her virtuoso technique, rich tone, and soulful performances, DRiN Elliott has established a reputation as one of the leading musicians of her generation. Her innovative style is deeply inspired by musical legends Erroll Garner, Chick Corea, Thelonius Monk, and Elvin Jones, all self taught masters of jazz. 

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, she began teaching herself to play the piano at age thirteen with no formal musical training. Shortly thereafter, she began playing piano, organ, and drums for small churches in her hometown; in 2004, she auditioned and was accepted into Birmingham Southern College, a prestigious, private liberal arts college well known for their eclectic music program. In 2009, she graduated, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in music composition. 

Highlights of DRiN’s music career include serving as pianist for her college jazz band and gospel choir as well as performing as lead accompanist for a special esteemed service honoring U.S. President Jimmy Carter while serving as Minister of Music at the historic Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. DRiN has accompanied a plethora of incredible artists such as the legendary Melissa Etheridge, latin pop star Natalia Jimenez, billboard chart topping rapper Yo Gotti, new age sensation The Internet, bass phenom Verdine White (Earth, Wind, & Fire), disco queen Gloria Gaynor, and R&B sensations Musiq Soulchild, Eric Benet, & Angie Stone. In addition, she has played with numerous jazz pioneers such as Benard Wright, Nikki Glaspie (Beyoncè, Maceo Parker), Snarky Puppy & the late Lucky Peterson. 

Recently, DRiN has been touring the world with notable artists such as the Jacksons (Jackson 5), Masego, PJ, Victoria Monet, Flatbush Zombies & Andre Cymone (Prince & NPG). She’s performed on some of the world’s largest musical platforms such as MTV, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NPR Tiny Desk, Paisley Park, Vice TV, FOX TV and many more.

DRiN has covered an astonishing number of musical bases in her acclaimed career. Her raw passion for music & love for people are the motivating force behind her artistry. She aspires to create timeless music that breaks down barriers and inspires all cultures.
